How To Brew Pu-erh Tea :

The Different Types Of Pu-erh Tea :

     There are three types of pu-erh tea: black, white, and green. Black pu-erh tea is the most noble type and is typically made from the first two grades of tea leaves. White pu-erh tea is made from the 3rd grade of tea leaves and has a less bitter flavor than black pu-erh. Green pu-erh tea is made from the 4th grade of tea leaves and has a more bitter flavor than all other types of pu-erh.


Brewing Tips For Pu-erh Tea :

Here are some tips to help you brew pu-erh tea the right way:

  1. Use a filter to remove all the debris from the water.
  2. Pour the water into a pot that is at least 2 gallons deep.
  3. Bring the pot of water to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for about 30 minutes.
  4. Remove the pot from the heat and let it sit for another 10 minutes.
  5. Add 1 teaspoon of white sugar to each cup of water in the pot.
  6. When the brewing process is complete, pour out the tea and discard any excess water. 
  7. Pour some of the tea into a teapot or mug, and enjoy!
