Phalsa, also known as Indian sherbet berry with the botanical name Grewia asiatica, tops the list of exotic fruits in our country. The phalsa tree is native to India and grows and develops naturally in tropical Southeast Asian countries such as India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bangladesh and Thailand. It is a seasonal crop, the main fruiting period of which is summer. Fresh only for a short time after harvest, so they need to be eaten quickly. Description : The phalsa tree, short and shrubby, has elongated, thin and pendulous branches, its leaves are broad, oval and deciduous, with yellow-orange flowers when ripe.
