What Is A Preacher Curl?

A preacher curl is a type of curl that is performed with two dumbbells. This exercise primarily targets the biceps and brachialis muscles. The dumbbells are held at the sides of the head, with one arm over the top and one arm under the bottom. Perform a normal curl, then lower to a stretch position, hold for 1-2 seconds and return to the start position to complete 1 rep.

How To Do A Preacher Curl :

Take hold of one dumbbell with each hand and place them at the sides of your head. With one arm over top, one arm under bottom, curl the weight up towards your chin. Lower to a stretch position, hold for 1-2 seconds, then return to start position to complete 1 rep.

The Biceps :

The biceps brachialis is a muscle located on the back of your upper arm, near the elbow. The brachialis starts from the lateral epicondyle of the humerus bone and runs down to insert into the lateral surface of your forearm. One way to contract this muscle is to move your arm in towards your body while keeping your elbow close to your torso.

The Brachialis Muscles :

The brachialis is a muscle that lies on top of the biceps. The brachialis is a small muscle, but it plays an important role in providing support for the biceps. The brachialis helps to stabilize the elbow joint and provides peak force at a moment when the biceps are contracting.
